I love hip hop especially emcees from the Bronx. I know this is old but it seems these rappers are more aware and it made hip hop seem a little more intelligent and diverse with songs like this.
I consider myself an old soul, sometimes somewhat of a soulchild. Born in Jamaica in the freshest year ever... 1978. 5 years later, I discovered hip hop. 1984, I saw my first hip hop movie... Breakin'... yess. Then it was all downhill from there. 1985 I moved to Brooklyn, NY and in just one year I was in Da Bronx... Da Boogie Down... The Mecca of Hip Hop. I felt at home, at peace... ready for whatever. Loving the atmosphere and the vibe of the most thorough of boroughs, I grew up finishing elementary school and in my second year of middle school, 1992, I saw the movie that would change my life forever and begin my downward spiral into the depths of hip hop. Yes, I saw Juice. The movie and soundtrack totally took over my life. I all of a sudden wanted to be a DJ... and since the day I saw that movie is when I realized how much I loved hip hop.
