HIP HOP POETRY
Greetings all. Welcome to our second installment of the Hip Hop Poetry Jam. I hope you all enjoyed last week’s guest Mr. E-40. We have been getting a lot of feedback [some good-most bad] regarding the content of Mr. 40’s poem. Some said it was crude, others thought it was hilarious. Either way I’m pleased that you took time out of your busy lives to actually read something. Today we are going to go in a different more conscious direction than last week’s entry. Not saying that we’ll not be going down that road in the future; just not right now.
Our guest today is Mr. David Banner. A few years ago he was a special guest on the controversial Nas “Untitled” album. On the last song called Middle Finger Mr. Banner dropped more hot shit that a fat man after a chili eating contest. In my opinion he bested Nas on his own damn track. Then again that is my opinion. I’ll let you be the judge!
Enjoy!!!!!
MIDDLE FINGER – DAVID BANNER *2ND Verse [Bonus Track]
I’m grippin the nina
Visions of 911
Visions of three six’s no sevens
This is Bush-o-nomics
George is the modern day Ronald Reagan
I pray to God in the mist of pagans
Niggas I’m just saying.
When do we stop playin
When do we stop pimpin and start sprayin
50 shots for every cop that left Sean Bell’s body layin
But they won’t quite cuz they know that our generation won’t do shit
Nothing nada
But every rappa is a shotta or a don da da
Or a killa
But you ain’t killin nuthin in this piece unless it’s another nigga
Tryin raise boys into superman
An while I’m at it fuck Arthur J. Copperman
They say there justice for blacks but the send just us to Iraq
With poor whites and Latinos
I pray to God that you hear this single
This is Banner’s middle finger yall
